About BluTaylor®
BluTaylor® hats are a trendy and innovative new style of girls’ hat. Our unique design allows the hat to stay up and out of the eyes. Unlike any turban-type hat on the market, we provide the look of a wrap with the ease of a hat! BluTaylor® hats are Patent Pending. Every hat is handmade (aka Hand-Sewn, not machine-sewn) with care to detail and every detail has a purpose. BluTaylor® is in more than 30 boutiques across the country and has shipped to more than 32 countries. BluTaylor® also gifts preemie babies with a custom sized hat as part of their Preemie Program.
Who, what and why we got started
After her youngest was born, Katie sat down on the couch with her and like all newborn babies occasionally do, she threw up. In this case, she threw UP into her hat. It was the normal, generic hospital hat but the only thing that fit her because she was so tiny. Katie tried different hats on her and they just sat so strange on her head so she became a woman with a mission! After tweaking the designs, both the Vintage ruffle and the Classic bow, it was the beginning of BluTaylor® designs!! In 2014, she started selling her designs on her website, www.blutaylor.com. She expanded from infants to kids sizes and then in the fall of 2015, she started sewing a woman’s version.

To us, the color blue means hope. Starting in August of 2015, every hat was sewn with a signature blue thread regardless of the fabric color or pattern. This symbolizes the hope that runs through every hat we make. Every hat is hand-sewn, it’s tailor made, for the lady that wears it. It’s more than just a hat, it’s tailor-made hope, or BluTaylor®.
How the BluTaylor® Preemie Program works
BluTaylor® is a Missional business. We have a heart for preemies. After spending some time in the ICU with her third child, Katie developed a heart for moms and dads that spent so much time there with their preemies. So, to bless these families, we gift each family with a free, custom-fit hat of their choice for their little girl. Parents of preemie girls just need to fill out a form on the website, and their hat will be shipped to them as soon as possible. Visit our Preemie Program tab to learn more.
